The Nidderdale Way Collection portfolio The Nidderdale Way is a 53 mile circular walk It has a number of attractions, the natural features of Brimham Rocks, How Stean Gorge and, further up the dale, Goyden Pot hole. Add to this Gouthwaite Reservoir, York's Folly and Guisecliffe, the quiet villages of Ramsgill and Wath it soon becomes evident why Nidderdale is such a magnificent Dale.

Exploring Ribblesdale Collection portfolio This the first half of a Spring and Autumn , 'Three Away Days ' Exploration of Ribblesdale. This Spring visit included a circular countryside walk around the towns of Settle and Giggleswick. Also an exploration along the Pennine Bridleway to the Attermire Scar and Jubilee and Victoria and Horseshoe Caves. returning south of Settle i Mitchell Lane. On the third day exploring the waterfalls including Scaleber Force ,Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar.This is a large Collection it has been moved to the Archives. Please use the Menu. or Click here

Old Stones Way Pilgrimage 2020 -2021 portfolio "The rock fortress of of Carl Wark stands proud, near Higger Tor, where you can see the destination of Minninglow hill, 25 miles south, resting place of prehistoric chieftains in their chambered cairns. This route takes in the old stones of Stanton Moor’s sacred groves and Arbor Low, the Neolithic ‘clock’. The Peak Pilgrimage Collection Parts One and Two 2019 portfolio The Peak Pilgrimage is a spiritual walk designed for people of all walking abilities. It enables the beauty of creation, the atmosphere of the churches along the way, and the heroism of Eyam in the face of the plague in 1665 to touch your soul.To others a soul restoring walk through the Peak Park. The Via Francigena  Collection Part Two  2019 portfolio Part two was in September the following year, 2019. Four of those Pilgrims continued on their journey starting at Viterbo and ending in the Sacristy of the Vatican to recieve their Testimonial and Vatican Timbre a distance in total of 255 km.

The Via Francigena  Collection Part One 2018 portfolio This is a pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome. Six York Minster walkers chose in September 2018 to fly to Pisa and join the route at Lucca. They then followed the path across Tuscany for a 140 km to Siena. The views were stunning,the walk a life-time of memories, these photographs try and tell of that journey.

Whitby to York Pilgrimage  Collection 2018 portfolio Pilgrimage is a personal journey: for some it involves a strenuous physical journey, while for others it is simply the act of travelling and arriving.This one was to celebrate the completion and restoration of the Great East Window. From 6th to Saturday 12th May followed by a reception and celebratory Evensong.

St Cuthbert's Way Collection 2017 portfolio St Cuthbert's Way is a 100 km long-distance Walk between the Scottish Borders town of Melrose and the Northumberland island of Lindisfarne (Holy Island), just two miles off the coast of Northumberland, England.

The Six Dales Trail Collection  2019 portfolio The Six Dales Trail From Wharfedale it passes over into Washburndale, then into Nidderdale, Colsterdale, Coverdale and finally Wensleydale. The trail runs the length of the Nidderdale, traversing some of the finest dales landscapes in Yorkshire. It starts from the ancient market town of Otley on the River Wharfe. It makes its way northwards, often along little-used field paths threading across sheep pastures to the ancient stone walls of Jervaulx Abbey then ending at Middleham 61km. SAINT PAULINUS PILGRIMAGE TRAIL portfolio Preparing this a whole new pilgrimage for the 2027 celebration of St Paulinus preaching in Londesborough in 627. The route follows some of the ancient tracks on a 127 mile pilgrimage to Whalley and passing through some of the spiritual centres that Paulinus visited on his own journey.
The walkers are checking out the route for the first time and discovering the magnificent countryside and checking for any problems that may arise.

Lakeland Autumn Challenge 2017 Collection Nine. portfolio This Lakeland Challenge Nine, was another Autumn two day mid week trip to Derwentwater with some fell walking for a group of eight walkers. The photographs are meant to be a record of the routes and terrain they walked up Walla Cragg on a very wet day. Then on a sunny but gusty second day to climb the Summit of Robinson and then through Littledale Edge to the summit of Hindscarth 2,400 feet. Hopefully these shots will bring back happy fell walking memories. This Collection has been moved to the Archives along with all the other Lakeland challenge Collections from One to Nine.
